for the good reason...

Sometimes ago I’ve heard one of my friends complaint about children who make noise and interrupted Jemaah at masjid. It’s make me worried to bring my kiddos to the masjid during the Ramadhan for terawih prayers.

Until one day, my hubby asked me to follow him to masjid… because that day Ustaz Abdullah Iraqi will going to give the kuliah after Maghrib prayers session. Alhamdulillah the kiddos well behave during the kuliah. Both of them will be separated by us… Ahmad Haikal with hubby and Alesha is with me.

I want to make the clearance here… suppose the friend of mine should think about it again. Malay proverbs “Melentur buluh biar dari rebungnya” it very perfectly and clear to make us understand what the meaning of the proverbs. It’s good to bring them while they young. Then to make them to understand the masjid it’s just not the place for prayers only. And why not we exposed them to hear and learn the kuliah together.

But parents who bring the kids have to make sure your kids not interrupt the Jemaah. Jemaah and parents must give and take. The Jemaah also has to remember that the kids are still innocent and sinless if the kid misbehaves. We can’t scold them roughly; this will make them dislike the masjid and maybe the religion. It is very important to raise our children with a strong attachment and love for their religion, and community, and thus it is important for them to have a strong and positive attachment to the mosque from a young age, especially in non-Muslim environments. We should treat them with gentleness and mercy, and firm when it necessary.

Alhamdulillah at our neighborhood this thing is not the big issues. The makciks loves to layan the kiddos too...

Thus, we find in authentic hadiths that the Messenger of Allah (Allah bless him and give him peace) used to pray while carrying children, including Umama the daughter of Zaynab (Allah be pleased with her) [Bukhari and Muslim], Hasan and Hussain, and others. At the same time, he commanded that children be kept away from the mosque [Ibn Maja]. The latter is understood to mean when it is feared that they will soil the mosque, or it is feared that they will cause a nuisance, or if they are generally unattended.

The Messenger of Allah (Allah bless him and give him peace) said, Those who do not have mercy for our young and respect for our elders is not of us.[Tirmidhi]

Jom gi kuliah
